STOUT GARDENS 2018 IRIS CATALOG PROGRESS

Our  2018 Stout Gardens Catalog should be mailed out by MARCH 30TH. 

                                           

I'm proud to say I do most the work on our catalog myself. From taking photos in the spring to planning out the layout. It involves,

• 1000's of photos taken in the spring in gardens all over the country
• screening those thousands of photos for the catalog
• early inventory count to see what's available (I have help with this!)
• researching plant awards to include in descriptions
• writing descriptions for the plants going in
• organizing the photos and info into the pages
• putting together 1000's of customers addresses for mailing list (I have help here too!)
• stuffing all those catalogs into envelopes (again...help!)

It is a labor of love but I was initially blown away by all the work involved. I have tons of respect for all those that do this themselves. I do hope everyone appreciates ALL plant catalogs that come to brighten up the late winter blues and send our spring fever into the stratosphere!
